Not just décor, but so much more!

Interior Décor

Interior Delights is a complete decorating service committed to providing each client with a décor that is a reflection of his or her best personal style.  Often Clients know what they want, but don’t always know how to achieve it.  There are so many options when planning one’s home or office décor that a good designer can save clients a great deal of money and an enormous amount of time.

Rebecca S. Ruediger Rebecca S. Ruediger has a degree in interior design and has been decorating interiors for more than two decades.  Her acute sense of style and color is a gift she uses to enhance the surroundings of a gratified patronage.  Her unique ability to translate a ‘general idea’ into a finished product accounts for the many referrals and repeat customers.
“Designing an interior space for someone is a very personal experience for both me and my client.  By the time a project is completed we have usually become great friends.  This relationship is very valuable to me, both personally and professionally.  There is a great deal of ‘ownership’ of any project.  One of the things my clients seem to appreciate is that I encourage them to express their own ideas, but keep them from making expensive errors by guiding them away from things that don’t work.

Buying an older home presents a unique challenge.  Often one must incorporate existing furnishings into a space for which they were not designed.  A good decorator can help prospective buyers decide whether or not a home can be adapted to fit their needs.  The designer can provide valuable information concerning renovation and redecorating costs before the home is purchased.

Most people do not realize that a designer can actually save them money by providing goods at a below-retail cost and by preventing them from making costly mistakes.

Decorative Arts

What is “Decorative Arts?”  If you pick up home magazines you can’t help but see the wonderful things being done to walls, floors and ceilings.  No longer are walls relegated to the task of merely dividing spaces.  They are a major part of the décor.  The revival of decorative arts has created a flurry in the design world.  Vibrant colors, color washes, faux finishes, stenciled embellishments, and trompe l’oeil all fall into the category of decorative arts.  Whether it is a simple border stenciled around the top of the wall or a grand mural leading to a far off province, these effects can create an atmosphere that entices one in and delights the imagination. Out dated furniture can take on new life, as well, when treated to a new decorative finish.

Period Costumes

Because of the rich history of the area, many festivals and celebrations are held throughout the year.  Local residents capture this rich heritage by wearing clothing indicative of the early settlers to the area.  We offer custom costume creations for several "periods" of Hermann's history.

The Dolls

Then there are the dolls!  Rebecca has been collecting dolls for over 40 years.  Her most tresured doll is a rag doll made by her grandmother.  Making doll clothing is a real delight.  However, making rag dolls is an absolute passion.  Each doll takes on a special personality and evokes images of "real life" people or her favorite characters from literature.  Most of these dolls are meant to be loved and played with by children.
